R2R—Make a Film in a Weekend

Reel 2 Real Festival
Make a Film in a Weekend

Join us for a FREE filmmaking workshop for youth ages 16-24. 
Professional filmmakers will work with you to conceive, plan, shoot, and edit your own film in a weekend. 

No previous experience is necessary. Lunches and snacks are included!

  • Friday, September 14, 6-9pm
  • Saturday, September 15, 10am-6pm
  • Sunday, September 16, 10am-6pm and 7-8:30pm

During this free workshop, filmmakers Jeff Chiba Stearns, Arun Fryer, and Kellen Jackson will work with you to conceive, plan, shoot, and edit your own film in a weekend. You will also learn the basics of lighting, sound, and editing with Final Cut X. No previous experience is necessary. Lunches and snacks are included. There is a screening of the finished films Sunday evening for parents and friends.
